TheLotter Payment Methods: Deposits, Cards and Bank Transfers

TheLotter's payment options depend on location and account status. Its current payment page lists cards and bank transfer among the methods that may be available, while the account interface shows the options applicable to a specific user.

Payment availability is location-dependent

Do not assume a method shown to one user will be available to another. TheLotter says the payment options displayed are based on the customer's identified location.

Pay as you go or use account funds

The payment page describes two broad approaches: depositing funds into the account first or paying for ticket orders as they are placed.

Use your own payment instrument

The current terms say deposits must use payment instruments that are valid and legally belong to the account holder. Third-party payment instruments are prohibited.

Verification checks

TheLotter may request documents showing ownership of a card, bank account or other payment instrument. Identity and anti-money-laundering checks can also be required before withdrawals.

Withdrawal routing

TheLotter says withdrawals are normally returned through a previously used eligible payment method where possible, with bank transfer used in some circumstances.

Third-party charges

TheLotter's terms say banks, card issuers and payment providers may impose their own processing or currency-conversion fees even when TheLotter itself does not charge a deposit or withdrawal fee.
