TheLotter's current terms say customers can request withdrawals from available account funds, subject to verification and anti-money-laundering checks.

Typical processing language

The current terms state that withdrawals are generally processed in approximately three business days, while also warning that verification, payment-provider procedures or enhanced checks can cause delays.

Identity and payment verification

The service may request proof of identity, address, payment-method ownership or source-of-funds information. A withdrawal can be held until required checks are completed.

Small versus large lottery prizes

Courier services can handle smaller prizes differently from major prizes. A very large prize may require original-ticket presentation, identity verification and direct contact with the lottery or representatives in the selling jurisdiction.

The selling lottery still matters

Official lottery claim periods and procedures apply to the underlying ticket. For example, Powerball says prizes must be claimed in the jurisdiction where the winning ticket was purchased.

Plan before ordering
